A more reliable area to look for restaurants is directly to the north of the Central Square, on the Yiren Lu. If you prefer to cater during your stay in Guilin, then there are several large supermarkets in the city. However, for many visitors, the most well-placed supermarket is likely to be the one in the basement of the Nikodo Plaza.
